Eyebrow trends may rise and fall in popularity but it's safe to say that brow gels are here to stay. Whether you're going for a "laminated" or soap brow look, eyebrow gels give your brows a fluffy yet structured style in mere seconds. "Lamination is super popular right now because it creates that structure by having the brows stick up," New York City-based makeup artist Delina Medhin previously shared with Allure. "With that, brow gel is making a comeback because it's something you can use at home that will give you the same effect," she noted.

Jared Bailey, Benefit Cosmetics's in-house brow expert, also previously recommended using a strong brow gel to groom and trim brows. "Take a clear gel and brush the brow hairs upwards towards the hairline and out towards the temple," he directed. "Let the gel dry completely, then only trim the ends that are sticking too far out past your desired shape." And just like that, you'll never chop off too much or too little.

Henney says that Benefit Cosmetics's 24HR Brow Setter "probably has the firmest hold out of any brow gel [she has] ever tried." If that doesn't impress you, maybe this will. "No matter if I am shooting on a windy beach or on a red carpet, the brows are always exactly where I want them to be," she adds. The wand's dual-sided brush (with smaller and longer bristles) keeps brows on lock but also feeling soft and flexible all day long.

We all know and love Glossier Boy Brow, and you'll find it in many makeup artists' makeup bags, to boot. Henney says "there is something for everyone in this range" out of the five shades (Black, Brown, Auburn, Blonde, and Clear) and the petite packaging makes it super compact and easy to toss into your handbag for on-the-go grooming. This buildable formula also contains oleic acid, an emollient that nourishes and softens brow hairs for a never-stiff finish.

"I personally love using clear brow gel for sculpting and setting my clients' eyebrows," Los Angeles-based makeup artist Carola Gonzalez says. Charlotte Tilbury Brow Fix Clear Brow Gel is one of her favorites because it doesn't leave any white residue and the wand allows her to "sculpt each hair precisely where I want it to lay," she adds.

Looking for a clean choice? W3ll People's Expressionist Brow Gel is the one for you. This conditioning gel is infused with a plant-based wax to shape hairs and add fullness, while nourishing ingredients like cocoa butter and sunflower seed wax add softness and flexibility. Choose from five versatile shades for feathery brows anytime, anywhere.

If you're looking for a clean option, Merit would like to present the 1980. As its name would suggest, this product is a nod to the full, lush brows of the '80s. Pump up the volume with this nourishing pomade, infused with conditioning vitamin B5, kaolin clay, and mineral pigments for flexible, all-day hold. The brush is tapered and cone-like in order to coat every hair without too much effort on your part.

For a no-fuss, natural brow, it doesn't get much better than Anastasia Beverly Hills' Clear Brow Gel. Consider it the more laid-back sister to the brand's Brow Freeze, which is why Allure associate beauty director Sarah Kinonen reaches for this handy tube every morning. This glycerin-spiked formula defines and lifts brows with ease, while soothing chamomile adds a subtly lustrous finish.

Leave it to Michelle Phan to create one of the creamiest formulas to ever enhance our sparse brows. The Em Cosmetics Micro-Fluff Sculpting Brow Cream is formulated with vitamin E and kaolin for lightweight flexibility, while tiny fibers add considerable volume that never looks too harsh or obvious.

The long, thin spoolie is worthy of praise, too, as it evenly distributes pigment (Soft Blonde, Classic Brunette, Universal Taupe, Dark Espresso, and Soft Ebony) across your brows. This sculpting gel "does an excellent job of coating each and every brow hair, so even the sparse spots look defined and fairly lush," Allure contributor Kaleigh Fasnella shared.

One/Size's BrowKiki Nourishing Brow Gel has an angled, cone-like applicator that creates a concentrated, waterproof veil around every hair that's infused with strengthening coconut oil, nourishing castor seed oil, and volumizing fiber blend. Fading? Smudging? Non-issues here. Eight shades ranging between Auburn, Black Brown, and Clear breathe new life into overplucked brows, whether they're flying solo or paired with the BrowKiki Micro Brow Defining Pencil for a full-flair look.

For eyebrow sculpting, shaping, and grooming, meet our mineral Brow Gel. Enriched with nourishing antioxidants to condition and strengthen, this water-based eyebrow gel glides on effortlessly, giving brows a soft, flexible hold without stiffening or flaking. Boosting the wear-time of any filled-in color effects or simply just keeping your natural brows fluffed and set in place all day, this clear gel works for every brow color and shape.

Nobody has time to spend 5 minutes on their brows each morning only for them to shift by lunch. Whether you want to lock your natural brows in place or need some help to create a fuller, more defined arch, a brow gel should be your new makeup bag staple.

Achieve fluffy and feathered brows that remain budge-proof all day with the Revolution Extra Hold Brow Glue. This brow gel gives you an at-home brow lift and keeps those stubborn brow hairs locked in place throughout the day.

Our Eyebrow Defining Gel refreshes your brows with a hydrating formula while keeping each hair in place. Use it alone or over our cream or pencil for subtle, approachable brows that you can count on all day.

It will not stain your skin or brows. Instead, this tinted gel provides your brows with a wash of color to give you the appearance of fuller-looking brows. It can be removed easily with any makeup remover or oil.

Because they frame the face, eyebrows are a focal point within many people's makeup routines. A great brow gel is key to achieving a variety of eyebrow styles, whether you're going for a bushy, voluminous look or a sleek, '90s-inspired moment.

"Brow gels continue to grow in popularity because with fluffy laminated brows still continuing to be the current trend, brow gels are an essential part of brow styling," Rene de la Garza, celebrity brow artist and founder of Brow Down Studio, tells Insider. "Today, it's less about conventional brow makeup and more about brow hair styling."

To find the very best brow gels in a variety of categories, I tested over a dozen products, from cult-favorites to brand new releases. Discover ahead the best brow gels to add to your makeup routine for a flawless result every time.

Known for its popular lash-enhancing serum, Grande Cosmetics has introduced a brow gel that similarly stimulates hair growth. This 2-in-1 tinted gel adds volume and color and contains nourishing ingredients such as castor oil and beet root extract to help brows grow thicker and fuller. The small and precise brush makes application a breeze and works to give brows a fuller appearance. This product doesn't flake, smudge, or turn crunchy, making it perfect for all-day wear. It also has a decent amount of hold; it doesn't totally freeze my hairs in place, but it keeps them looking neat and tidy.

The most impressive aspect of GrandeBROW, however, is that it helped my brow hairs grow. After a few weeks of use, my brows were noticeably fuller, and I found it unnecessary to fill in my usually sparse areas with a pencil or brow powder.

There are currently only four shades of GrandeBROW, but I was pleased to find that the Dark shade worked perfectly for my cool-toned brows, which are sometimes difficult to shade match for. At $38, this brow gel has a higher price point, but given that you're getting both a long-lasting tint and growth serum, it's well worth the cost.

While I did have to wipe off a bit of product off the brush before applying, I was very impressed with its volumizing effect. Plus, I was pleasantly surprised by the hold. By the end of the day, my brow hairs may have moved a bit, but the gel prevented them from getting messy. The pigment also held throughout the day without smudging or transferring. It comes in four shades (including a clear option), and I was easily able to find the right shade match for my brows.

I absolutely love that Benefit's Gimme Brow has a wide shade selection; there are a whopping 10 options, which you rarely see when it comes to brow gels. There's also a "Grey" shade, so it's inclusive to those with gray hair, which happened to match perfectly with my cool-toned brows.

A great applicator is the main thing that's going to make me reach for a brow gel over and over again, and Hourglass' Arch Brow Shaping Gel has one of my favorites yet. One side of the brush has shorter, denser bristles, while the other has longer, thinner bristles, so you can really customize your application and distribute the product as evenly as possible. This lightweight brow gel is easily buildable, so you can layer it without any flakiness or stiffness. 041b061a72
